Day 70-adding adventure

The year is almost over. It is such a culmination of sad and exciting when something ends and a new thing begins.  I haven’t quite decided if it is more sad than exciting yet, but I am shooting for exciting.

I spent the day with baby Frankie today, babies emanate new beginnings.  So sweet and innocent and soft.

It is nice to have friends and family to share these days with, and I am truly sad for those who are not blessed with the gift of friends and family.  With all the craziness, I don’t want to lose sight of that.

I hope everyone is safe and has an amazing New Year’s Eve full of adventure…’til tomorrow (or next year).

Day 69-adding adventure

Lunch, shopping, sushi dinner, sake…phew it’s been quite the day!  Also watched Flowers in the Attic.  That movie freaked me out the first time I saw it.  Still pretty creepy!

There are going to be a lot of changes in 2012…mind,  body and soul!  I am ready for a new (adventurous) me, I am not sure everyone else is though, ha!

Instead of a regular bucket list I think everyone should make one for the year 2012, or at least even just one thing you want to make sure you do in 2012. And you have to post it, that way you are held accountable.  And listing something you already have planned doesn’t count.  For example I can’t stay I want to go Costa Rica.  I will start, in 2012, I want to go out of town at least once every month.

I hope everyone’s day was full of adventure…’til tomorrow.

Day 68-Adding Adventure

Did anyone see Los Angeles Magazine’s top ten new restaurants of 2011? I want to try them all, too bad I can’t do it in 2011…given that there are only a few days left!

I have my niece visiting today..slumber party!  Watched a really bad movie, called Let Me In…supposed to be scary but of course not at all.  We ate A LOT!  Even made a late night McDonald’s run…never a good decision in hindsight!

I love this time of the day between 1 am and 4 am when it seems like the whole world is sleeping.  There is this sense of serenity.

I think everyone’s resolution for the new year should be to take your most frequent day dream and make it happen.  Well, unless you dream about reconnecting with someone has passed…then that’s just creepy and morbid but other than that…make it happen!

I hope everyone’s day was full of adventure…’til tomorrow.

Day 67-Adding Adventure

Still recovering from the holiday weekend and still in denial that its NYE this weekend!  This time next week it will be 2012.  It just seems so strange.

Did try a new pizza place in Sherman Oaks called Antonio’s.  It has been there forever and we have never tried it so we figured, why not? It was ok.  Probably will never think about going again. We were planning on going to Oakfire pizza but strangely they were closed.  I mean it’s not a holiday!

Do we even bother with new year’s resolutions?  Does anyone ever keep them?  Mine last year was to make my place more homey.  I started it, I finally put up things on my wall.  But I can’t exactly say that the place looks more homey.  This year’s resolution might just be to add adventure to my life 🙂

Hope everyone’s day was full of adventure…’til tomorrow.

Day 66-Adding Adventure

Today’s Christmas adventure, albeit not Christmas related, was to find the perfect blood Mary. Unfortunately, our efforts was thwarted by the fact that since it was Christmas our prime options were closed.  So we decided a drink anywhere that was open would have to do, and we started at Cabo Cantina.  I had never been there and it was so much more different from I had pictured it.  Not the best crowd but they did have good happy hour deals.  Then we walked over to Saddle Ranch, it seemed like a bad idea as we were doing it but kept doing it anyway.  Then ordered this big thing of cotton candy and proceeded to eat too much of it. Also made facial hair with it and then even ate the ones off our face.  Needless to say we felt quite nauseous at the end of it all.  The quest for the perfect bloody Mary continues…

Topped off the day by watching Fright night in bed, the 2011 version.  The movie was pretty bad.  The “synopsis” on imdb though was pretty incredible. It is literally a word for word description of the movie.  Not at all a synopsis!

Hope everyone’s day was full of adventure…’til tomorrow.

Day 65- Adding Adventure

Merry Christmas to everyone!!  I hope everyone had as wonderful evening as I did with food, family, friends and fun!  I laughed so much it hurt. Played a drinking game that I had never played before called King’s cup.  If you haven’t played it, you should, just make sure you play it with fun people.  It was a great time!  I am so grateful to be surrounded by so much love and awesomeness!

I hope the fun continues through tomorrow and really every day should be fun!

Hope everyone’s day was full of adventure…’til tomorrow!

Day 64-Adding Adventure

Seems like an adventure to navigate the streets and stores this week. Wow, it is madness out there! At least I completed my shopping, all except one gift but that’s ok.

I am still in complete disbelief that there is only one week left for the year!

I am happy I will be spending Christmas Eve surrounded by friends and family.

I hope everyone has an adventurous holiday…eat drink and be merry!…’til tomorrow.
